Wraparound Care

At Friends’ School Preparatory Department, we provide a full wraparound care package to help busy parents. We recognise the advantages of ensuring that your child can remain in the same safe and familiar environment throughout your working day.

Our Wraparound Care service is managed by Mrs Cathy Stevens, All bookings for Breakfast Club and After School Club are booked and paid for in advance using the Parent Pay app. Childcare vouchers are accepted, for more information contact Mrs Stevens directly.

Wraparound Clubs

Breakfast Club is available to all Prep pupils in the Friends’ School Dining Hall at a cost of £3 per day.

Pupils can be dropped off in the Dining Hall between 8:00-8:20am, where they will be supervised by Mrs Stevens and Miss Walker. A selection of cereals, toast and fruit juice are available. The children will be escorted safely to the Preparatory Department at 8:30am.

After School Club is available on full school days to all Prep pupils as follows:

Pre-Prep

12 noon-3:00pm

Prep 1-3

2:00pm – 6:00pm

Prep 4-7 (Prep 3 from April to June)

2:00pm – 6:00pm

After School Club is a flexible service that can be used regularly or booked occasionally as required. It is charged at a rate of £6 per hour or part thereof. 

A healthy snack is provided to all Prep 1-7 pupils as soon as they arrive at the end of their school day. Pre-Prep pupils should bring a packed lunch; an additional snack is available at 2:00pm if required.

Art/craft activities, construction toys, educational games, computer work, library time and outdoor play are timetabled throughout the afternoon. Older pupils may begin homework in a quiet, supervised room at your request.

Pupils attending until 3:00pm will be brought to the school gate by a supervisor. Parents collecting children at any other time are permitted to drive into the school grounds to collect their child. 

Prep 1 pupils can use After School Club between 12:00-2:00pm in September at no additional charge during the settling-in period. More details are provided in the Prep 1 Induction Pack.
