Friends' School Lisburn
    Preparatory Department

    Mrs. Ruth Watson

    Head of Preparatory Department

Friends' Prep is co-educational and interdenominational. We are a modern, forward-thinking school with traditional values embedded firmly at its roots; a place where academic excellence flourishes alongside creativity and fun.

Boys and girls aged 2 to 11 years old are educated in a secure, happy and caring environment based on the principles of the Religious Society of Friends. Our aim is to provide the opportunities for each child to develop his or her inherent potential; academically, socially and emotionally.

Outside lessons take place through our fully integrated Forest School programme and learning is consolidated in our outdoor learning area.

“The strength of a school is determined by the quality of its staff.”

Our dedicated staff works hard to create a supportive and nurturing environment for all children in our care. As a school we seek to strike the right balance between school and family time and great emphasis is placed on pupil and staff wellbeing.

The education of a child involves a partnership between home and school.  We know, therefore that parents will be sharing in this educational process with us, as we endeavour to make each child’s time in Friends’ School Preparatory Department a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Within the School’s unique setting, our pupils are given every opportunity, time and space to grow into independent learners and well-rounded young people.

Come and see our wonderful school for yourself. We’d love to show you around and answer any questions you may have. I believe that we provide pupils with a real sense of purpose in an environment they truly enjoy.
